sociology status in iran

sociology is a multi-paradigm science. the main components of the paradigm include epistemic system, theoretical schools, raised patterns, research strategies, research methods and techniques, and facts under investigation. to be able to reach a satisfactory achievement, sociology has to obtain two main components, i.e. to be part of a paradigm and institutional autonomy. iranian sociology of the academic environment, rather than being committed to a scientific paradigm, is unstable and tends to a part of theory and practice fashion. iranian sociology due to the lack of institutional separation of politics and religion, does not have an acceptable institutional autonomy. iranian sociology will be native-based when it obtains its institutional autonomy and moves based on adherence to a particular paradigm, so that it can acquire its sociology in relation to the social reality. admission of phd students is a response to the demand-based needs in iran. this way of student admission had caused the academic department not to recruit students based on their academic ability and more importantly, their paradigm orientation. thus, this trend is exacerbating the main problem of the iranian sociology, i.e. formation of slant paradigms.
